beast-mode-black-reviewReview Overview – What does Beast Mode Black do?

Beast Mode Black is a pre-workout by Beast Sports Nutrition which claims to:

  • Intensify Energy
  • Improve Focus
  • Boost Pumps
  • Maximize Strength

But does it really?

We’ve been looking closer at what actually goes into Beast Mode Black and we’re not so convinced, in fact we were quite shocked.

Here’s what we found:

Should I double scoop Beast Mode Black?

No.

There’s a serious amount of caffeine in this product which could very well lead to side effects – double scooping would put that into overdrive.

How about the ingredients?

Okay – but there may be side effects.

We’ve had a closer look at what goes into this pre-workout, and it’s not all it’s cracked up to be:beast-mode-black-supp-facts

Beta-Alanine is a good choice, and it’s well dosed here as well…

BA is one of the better amino acids for buffering the acid in your muscles and improving your endurance in the gym.

Studies suggest the ideal amount for this nutrient is around the 2g, so Beast Mode Black is right on the money here.

L-Taurine has is merits, but the effects are only minor…

It’s true. Despite what you’ve heard about energy drinks, studies have shown taurine only gives minor support to blood flow and circulation. It may help give you more of a pump.

Choline helps with focus, but not much else…

Thought to help promote cognition, Choline should help you improve focus when it comes to those more intense sessions in the gym.

Caffeine’s good, but this dose may be a little excessive…

With a whopping 400mg of caffeine in this product, Beast Mode Black has got far too many stimulants which could lead to some serious side effects. Even if you feel like you have a high tolerance for caffeine, you may want to think twice before dipping into this pre-workout.

DMAE isn’t what you think, it’s not like DMAA, and it’s actually quite ineffective…

Unlike the banned stimulant DMAA, DMAE is actually a cognitive booster that only shows minor effects.

And the Yohimbe can cause side effects…

This is more of an appetite suppressant, and has been linked to several side effects when dosed 0.2mg/kg bodyweight. It won’t give you an energy boost. More on the risks in the side effects section below.beast-mode-black-main-image

Ingredients Bottom Line:

Overall there are a few good ingredients in Beast Mode Black, but they aren’t all great. The caffeine is a big issue due to the risks involved with it’s dosages. And several of the ingredients have only been reported to have ‘minor’ effects – they won’t create the rush you’re looking for, and the caffeine will cover it and risk you having side effects.

Be careful with this product.

Side Effects

There are two ingredients that could cause trouble in this pre-workout: the caffeine and the yohimbine.

The caffeine’s 400mg dosage is excessive, even by pre-workout standards, and could cause a range of problems such as:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Light Headedness
  • Raised Blood Pressure
  • Dizziness

Whereas the Yohimbine could cause problems such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Hypertension
  • Gastrointestinal Distress

Is there anything better out there?

Yes.

We’ve done some digging and have found the best pre-workouts that:

  • Boost Energy
  • Increase Pump
  • Improve Focus
  • Enhance Strength

And we’ve narrowed it down to just three. To see what they are, check out our top pre-workouts page below:

Beast Mode Black Review Conclusion

On the whole there are some good ingredients in Beast Mode Black – but it needs some serious work doing to it.

The main problem is the caffeine. Although that’s a good pre-workout ingredient, there’s a huge problem with the dosage. 400mg is a lot, even by pre-workout standard and could push someone over the edge. Especially if they have a sensitivity to it, or heart problems.
