What does Betancourt Nutrition B-Nox Androrush do?
Made by Betancourt Nutrition, this is an all natural pre workout that is claimed to promote:
- Muscle Pumps
- Testosterone
- Energy
- Strength
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at B-Nox Androrush to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
Can I double scoop it?
We wouldn’t advise it.
As the caffeine amount in this product is hidden – you don’t know how much you’re getting.
This means you could massively over dose yourself.
Our safe limit is around the 300mg area – however we don’t know where Androrush is in comparison to that.
To be on the safe side, avoid doubling the servings on this product.
What about the ingredients in Betancourt Nutrition B-Nox Androrush?
Confusing.
There are a lot of proprietary blends in this product – and in turn a lot of ingredients.
This means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it will be overall.
Not only that, with so many ingredients, it’s hard to keep track of everything.
They’re not all good. Many are ineffective and some even cause side effects.
Here’s what you need to know:
Taurine
Usually associated with promoting energy levels – however it’s actual use is far different.
What Taurine actually does is promote blood flow, which helps with circulation of nutrients throughout your system.
This may help it work faster, but won’t improve your overall performance.
Beta Alanine/L-Histidine
A better choice – however it has been seen to cause problems.
By buffering the acid in your muscles, Beta Alanine can help improve endurance.
Although, it has been widely reported to cause side effects – more on that later.
Caffeine
Arguably the best natural stimulant.
Caffeine has been seen in numerous studies to promote both energy levels and power output.
It’s a good addition, and in some cases may even help to promote fat loss.
Theobromine
One of the better nutrients for blood flow.
Found mainly in cocoa, Theobromine has been seen to mildly improve circulation which may help with nutrient flow.
Beet Root
A better choice.
Beet Root has been seen to help restore electrolytes and promote recovery after training.
It’s a valuable, natural addition.
Creatine
Creatine is also good.
Seen to improve water retention in your muscles, creatine can help improve your muscles overall size and strength.
This can help with explosive power while training.
Guarana
Contains a few anti-oxidants which promote overall health – but also contains some caffeine that may promote energy and power.
Maca
A poor nutrient for testosterone boosting.
Maca was once thought to improve your overall levels of testosterone.
However, studies have shown that it does not do this.
In actuality, all maca does it mildly boost libido.
Tribulus Terrestris
The same applies to Tribulus.
Although aggressively marketed as a testosterone booster, studies have shown that the actual effects on T are minimal.
At most it may only help libido to a minor extent.
Stinging Nettle
A better option for testosterone.
Stinging Nettle has been shown to inhibit Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) a protein that binds to testosterone and strips it of its anabolic potency.
By inhibiting the protein, you’ll get less SHBG inhibiting your testosterone, allowing it to rise more effectively.
Ingredients Run Down:
On the whole B-Nox Androrush doesn’t have the best nutrient profile we’ve seen.
The main problem is that it’s made up of several proprietary blends.
You don’t know how much you’re getting in each ingredient or how effective it will be overall.
Not only that, some of the ingredients may cause side effects and many of the additions (mainly the testosterone boosters) are ineffective.
It’s not a great option.
Side Effects
The Beta Alanine could cause problems here.
Although seen to buffer acid in your muscles and improve endurance – it can also cause a condition known as paresthesia.
This is an itching in both the hands and face and can be incredibly distracting during your session.
Another issue may be caffeine. As it’s part of a proprietary blend, you don’t know how much you’re getting and whether it’s in a safe dosage or not.
It’s a big risk.
