Review Overview – What does FINAFLEX STIMUL8 do?
Stimul8 is a pre-workout from FINAFLEX that claims to be made for ‘explosive workouts’ and is believed to:
- Cut Fat
- Increase Energy
- Boost Pump
- Enhance Performance
But does it really?
It’s available both as a powder and as capsules, we’ve been looking closely at the science behind Stimul8 and we’ve found some rather interesting results.
Here’s what we found:
Can I double scoop it?
No.
FINAFLEX strongly discourage anyone from double scooping this pre-workout.
How are the ingredients in Stimul8?
Mediocre at best.
There’s a few good ingredients in Stimul8, but there’s also a lot of few bad ones. It definitely doesn’t balance well. Mainly because it’s a proprietary blend.
This means we don’t know how much of each ingredient is being used in Stimul8, and by extension, how effective it will be. This is a serious issue, especially when it comes to side effects.
The Beta Alanine is a good start…
There’s a good side and a bad side to BA. The good side is that it increases your performance and buffers the acid in your muscles. The bad side is that it causes a side effect of itchiness that is annoying as hell.
If you’re fine with that though, it shouldn’t be a problem.
And the Caffeine may work wonders…
The main issue here is that there’s a proprietary blend in place. We don’t know how much caffeine we’re getting.
Caffeine’s great for energy, and upping your power output – definitely an ingredient we recommend, as long it’s not overdosed.
Although there’s not a lot of benefit to be had from the Phenylethylamine…
An influencer of both dopamine and serotonin, which will definitely help with mood – however, there’s a problem.
Studies have shown that oral supplementation of Phenylethylamine, isn’t effective as it was originally thought with it being broke down into inactive components quickly after being consumed.
It won’t have much impact here.
And the Green Tea’s a good thermogenic, but no a good pre-workout…
More a fat burner than anything else, promotes fat burning and thermogenesis, but doesn’t really do that much in terms of energy.
It contains some caffeine, but it’ll have negligible effects – in fact it may actually cause problems with the synephrine in this product. More on that later.
The Theobroma may or may not help with a pump…
Found in cocoa, this compound is good for boosting nitric oxide in the blood and increasing that overall pump.
However, a lot is needed for the best results, and as this is a proprietary blend, that’s highly unlikely.
And the results with Hordenine are mixed…
Again, not an energy booster, but more of a fat burner. Although the effects of this are unreliable.
What’s more annoying is that reports have seen Hordenine cause false positives on drug tests – consider yourself warned.
However the Citrus Aurantium is definitely a bad move…
Another ingredient for the fat burning camp but not a great one, also known as bitter orange extract this nutrient has never been seen to work effectively. On top that it has even been seen to cause side effects when mixed with ingredients like caffeine and green tea. More on that later.
And there’s limited evidence for Rauwolscine…
This is an appetite suppressant, however there’s very little evidence in studies that shows that it works.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
Unfortunately this isn’t the greatest mix for a pre-workout, it seems to be more of a fat burner than anything.
The main ingredients that we should be concerned with here are the caffeine, beta alanine and the theobromine, however as this is a proprietary blend we have no idea how much we’re getting – or how effective it will be.
The Citrus Aurantium doesn’t help either, and can cause side effects when mixed with the caffeine and the green tea.

Are there side effects?
Potentially. The Citrus Aurantium being the biggest factor here.
As this is a proprietary blend we don’t know the exact dosages, however we do know caffeine and green tea do not mix with CA.
The common side effects noted are:
- Headaches
- Raised Blood Pressure
- Nausea
And it’s not even that good of an ingredient – a poor choice for Stimul8’s “Ripping Matrix”.
Is there anything better out there?
Definitely.

FINAFLEX STIMUL8 Review Conclusion
Overall this is a pretty shoddy pre-workout.
Here’s what we didn’t like:
- Proprietary Blend – Undisclosed dosages of each ingredient, we have no idea if there’s enough of each being used.
- Side Effects – Citrus Aurantium (Synephrine) and caffeine/green tea, don’t mix
- Some ineffective ingredients – Wasted space in this product
This product could’ve really done with come L-Carnitine and Citrulline Malate to give it the real kick it needs. It’s definitely not what you’re looking for.
