What does FitMiss Ignite do?
Made by FitMiss, this is an all natural pre workout for women that has been claimed to promote:
- Energy
- Performance
- Fat Loss
- Motivation
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at Ignite to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
Can you double scoop it?
We wouldn’t recommend it.
The problem here is that the caffeine dosage in this product is not disclosed.
As you don’t know how much caffeine is being used – you don’t know if you’ll be getting more than you need, and that could take you over our recommended 300mg caffeine safe limit.
This could lead to side effects, and definitely not what you want during training.
What about the ingredients in FitMiss Ignite?
Not that great.
The main problem is that Ignite is a full proprietary blend.
A proprietary blend is when a range of individual ingredients have been put together under the same dosage.
This means you don’t know how much of each ingredient is being used – or how effective it could be overall.
Here’s what you need to know:
Beta Alanine
A good choice for endurance – but it may not give you the best experience.
Beta Alanine has been seen to buffer acid in your muscles and promote energy and endurance.
However, users have reported side effects when using Beta Alanine. It may not be your best option for effective results.
Choline
More of a brain booster.
Choline has been seen to promote learning and lower anxiety.
It’s a good option for keeping focused while training. But not for actual energy levels.
Tyrosine
An amino acid that again, helps your brain more than your body.
As an anti stressor, L-Tyrosine can help you focus in more and helps to promote good feeling hormones like dopamine and serotonin.
It’s good for staying focused during a workout.
Taurine
An amino acid found in numerous energy drinks.
Contrary to popular belief, Taurine is not a stimulant. Studies have shown that it actually helps with mild circulation and blood flow.
It may help with minor muscle pumps – but the overall effect is mild.
Carnitine
Another amino acid, but L-Carnitine has been seen to help more with metabolism and energy levels.
The only problem that we’d say with this addition is the unreliable dosage.
Studies have shown that you need at least 500mg to see any effect with this nutrient. As it’s in a proprietary blend, you don’t know how much you’re getting of each ingredient – or how effective it will be overall.
Beet Root
One of the better options for plasma nitrate and overall endurance.
Supplementing Beet Root has been seen to increase performance in some studies by up to 4%.
It’s an effective natural resource for a better performance in the gym.
Hawthorn
Doesn’t offer much benefit.
Hawthorne has been seen to decrease joint pain. This may help with general inflammation, but doesn’t promote performance.
Agmatine
An amino acid that improved blood flow.
It does very little for performance.
Caffeine
One of the best options for a pre workout.
We don’t need to tell you how effective caffeine is. Used in pretty much every energy drink, caffeine helps to promote both energy and power output.
It has even been seen in some cases to help raise metabolism and fat loss.
Huperzine A
One of the poorer choices.
Huperzine A has been seen in numerous studies to have a mild effect on cognition –
which may improve focus.
However, it’s not your best option.
Studies have shown that the effects of Huperzine A are easy to build a tolerance to and it may need to be cycled.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
On the whole, this isn’t the best nutrient profile you can expect from a pre workout.
The first problem is the proprietary blend – you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it will be overall. There’s no way to know if the dosage is reliable.
Not only that, certain ingredients in FitMiss Ignite have been linked to certain side effects – with some even being completely ineffective.
Side Effects
The main thing you have to worry about here is the beta alanine.
Although it helps to boost endurance – it may also cause paresthesia: an itching of both the hands and face.
It’s not harmful, but it can be incredibly distracting.
