What does Force Factor VolcaNO do?
Manufactured by Force Factor, this pre workouts an all natural supplement that has been claimed to promote:
- Energy
- Power
- Endurance
- Recovery
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at the ingredients used in VolcaNO to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
Can I double scoop it?
Yes.
With absolutely no caffeine or stimulants, you should be alright to double-scoop this product.
It’s seemingly under-dosed in a few places so this may even be a good idea to get any benefit.
What about the ingredients in Force Factor VolcaNO?
Not great.
This product has a serious problem with proprietary blends.
This means the values of the ingredients used are hidden – you have no idea if they’re fairly dosed or not.
On top of that, a lot of the ingredients used are pretty ineffective.
Let us show you what we mean:
L-Citrulline
One of the better amino acids for pre workouts.
L-Citrulline has been linked to promoting nitric oxide in the blood stream which promotes vasodilation.
Essentially increasing blood flow for incredible muscle pumps.
However you need 5 – 8g to see any real effect – and as this is in a small proprietary blend, it’s unlikely you’ll get the benefits.
Agmatine Sulphate
A metabolite of L-Arginine.
We’ve got to say, it doesn’t do all that much (especially in a proprietary blend).
The main thing it will do is mildly boost cognition, but it won’t be significant.
L-Norvaline
A combination of unnecessary branch chain amino acids.
They might help you synthesize protein better, but it doesn’t have any unique benefit compared to what your body can already do.
Creatine
A better choice.
Creatine is a good choice for strength. By its ability to promote water retention in your muscles, creatine increases their overall power output and endurance.
L-Methionine
An amino acid that supports liver health.
In terms of motivating you to train, it won’t do much of anything.
L-Glycine
An amino acid that can work both as a stimulant or as a depressant.
It may help in this pre workout – but it’s doubtful to have that much of an impact given its double edged sword approach.
Ingredients Rundown:
On the whole, this a poor nutrient profile.
Not only are there many bad choices in this pre workout’s nutrient profile, but on the whole it’s a proprietary blend.
This means we don’t know much of each ingredient is being used – or how effective it will be overall.
The only good ingredients here are the L-Citrulline and the creatine – 2 both very dose dependent ingredients.
It’s just not a good option.
Side Effects
There have been no side effects reported with Force Factor’s VolcaNO.

VolcaNO Review Conclusion
On the whole, this isn’t the best pre workout on the market and there are several reasons why.
From this review, here’s what you need to know about Force Factor’s VolcaNO:
- Proprietary Blend – We don’t know how much of each ingredient is being used, or how effective it will be overall.
- Under-dosed in places – It’s clear that areas like L-Citrulline and Creatine are in blends too small for their optimum dosages.
As you can see, it’s not your best option.
