What does Giant Rush do?
Produced by Giant Sports, this is an all natural pre workout that has been claimed to promote:
- Energy
- Focus
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at Giant Rush to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
Can I double scoop it?
We wouldn’t recommend it.
With 200mg of caffeine, doubling up on the servings would total a massive 400mg.
This is 100mg over our 300mg recommended safe limit.
Going this far over may cause some serious side effects and ruin your session.
Stick to the recommended single serving.
What about the ingredients in Giant Rush?
Not great – there are only 3 ingredients.
In an ideal scenario, you want a pre workout that promotes strength, energy, focus and pump.
In this product – you’re not getting the whole picture.
The only real business ingredient here is the caffeine, and the rest are just supporting nutrients.
Take a look:
Caffeine
Arguably the best natural stimulant on the market.
We don’t need to tell you how good caffeine is – but we will anyway.
By inhibiting adenosine receptors in your brain, caffeine promotes wakefulness, energy, focus and all round power.
If you’re looking for that instant kick in the gym – this is as good as you’re going to get.
Kigelia Africana
Also known as the sausage tree plant.
Kigelia is sometimes used as an ingredient in pre workouts and is thought to have stimulating effects.
However, these are only user reports – there have been no clinical studies out there to confirm that the works.
It has even been suggested to be nothing more than a placebo effect.
White Tea
To manage the stimulants, Giant Rush uses White Tea.
By promoting GABA – a calming hormone in your body, White tea may help to reduce the overwhelming rush of the caffeine in this product.
Although a good choice, L-Theanine would’ve been a better choice.
Ingredients Rundown: On the whole, this is far from the best nutrient profile we’ve seen. It only contains 3 ingredients – it’s definitely not a well rounded supplement. The only good nutrient here is caffeine – it’s more of a glorified stimulant powder than it is a pre workout. There are so many things that could be added to this product – Citrulline, betaine, L-Theanine, Rhodiola Rosea, and more. It’s a real shame, considering the price of it.
Side Effects
When it comes to Giant Rush – there isn’t a huge risk of side effects.
The only thing we would say, as we’ve already mentioned, is not to take a double serving.
That would add up to 400mg of caffeine, which takes you over our recommended safe limit and could lead to:
- Headaches
- Jitters
- Nausea
- Raised Blood Pressure
- Increased Risk of High Blood Pressure
- Increased Heart Rate
Which is definitely not what you want in a product.
Always try to stay below 300mg.
Are there better Pre Workouts out there?
Yes – there definitely are!
We’ve done the research, and found the best pre workouts on the market that promote:
- High Energy Levels
- Maximum Power Output
- Enhanced Focus
- Amazing Pumps
And we’ve finally got it down to 3.

- Slim nutrient profile – Only 3 ingredients, which isn’t enough to boost every aspect of your workout.
