What does MuscleTech’s #Shatter SX-7 Black Onyx do?
Created by MuscleTech, this all natural pre workout is claimed to promote:
- Muscle Pumps
But how well does it really work?
In this review, we look closer at #Shatter by MuscleTech to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
Can you double-scoop it?
We don’t advise it.
With this pre workout, you’re getting 200mg of caffeine per serving.
Doubling that up is a lot – and could cause side effects.
You’ll be safe if you stick to around 150 – 300mg or a little over, given you don’t have any issues with caffeine.
What about the ingredients in #Shattered SX-7 Black Onyx?
Although we know exactly how much we’re getting of each ingredient – it’s what they do that’s the problem.
We’re not going to sugarcoat it – there are a lot of reported side effects with the ingredients in this product.
Take a look:
A good choice for endurance – but may cause side effects.
Beta Alanine has been seen to help buffer the acid in your muscles which allows you to work harder in the gym for longer.
The only drawback with this, is that the nutrient has been linked to side effects.
More on that later.
Your body’s ‘molecular unit of currency’.
ATP is usually supplemented to main your body’s current energy levels.
However this can lead to various side effects.
One of the best natural stimulants.
Caffeine has been seen in numerous studies to promote energy and power output.
It can even support fat loss by boosting metabolism.
May help with libido and blood circulation.
However, when it comes to getting you motivated to workout, it won’t make much of a difference.
A supportive ingredient, but by no means a big player.
Skullcap has been linked to mildly improving bloodflow and cognition.
One of the poorer choices.
Yohimbe has been seen to suppress appetite, but at the cost of causing side effects.
Essentially Citrus Aurantium.
Believed to have some stimulating effects, however, not much evidence has come forward.
What has come forward, is this nutrient’s potential to cause side effects – especially when consumed with caffeine.
As you can see – not a great nutrient profile.
There’s only a handful of good ingredients here, but an array of ones that cause potential side effects.
This is surprising, considering MuscleTech’s reputation.
There are multiple ingredients in #Shatter SX-7 Black Onyx that have been linked to side effects.
Beta Alanine has been seen in numerous cases to cause paresthesia, a condition of itching in your face and hands.
ATP has been reported to cause chest pain, low blood pressure, headaches and nausea.
Citrus Aurantium has been seen to raise heart rate and cause headaches and nausea.
Yohimbe has also been reported to cause anxiety, hypertension and gastrointestinal distress.
It’s really not looking good here.
