What does Pretty Fit Pre do?
Made by Pretty Fit, this pre workout is an all natural supplement that is claimed to promote:
- Energy
- Metabolism
- Focus
- Endurance
But just how well does it work?
In this review, we look closer at Pretty Fit Pre and get to the bottom of how effective it actually is.
This is what you need to know:
Can I double scoop it?
If you want to.
This product only contains 100mg of caffeine – that’s about a strong cup of coffee.
If you wanted to double that, you’d still be in our recommended range of 150 – 300mg for good results.
What about the ingredients in Pretty Fit Pre?
Okay – but could be better.
The main problem here is that many of the ingredients are under-dosed. The Citrulline in particular.
Not only that, but there are also some potential side effects in this product.
Here’s our write up:
Citrulline
One of the better amino acids – but it’s under-dosed here.
It helps with blood flow and gives you a better muscle pump.
However, studies have shown you only get the best results in 4 – 8g servings – definitely not what you’re getting here.
Beta Alanine
This may help you go for longer.
Beta Alanine has been seen to buffer the acid in your muscles and increase overall endurance.
However, it may also cause side effects.
BCAA Profile
Various amino acids that may help your body synthesize protein.
This won’t make any major difference.
L-Tyrosine
An anti-stress amino acid.
L-Tyrosine has been seen to help reduce anxiety, and raise dopamine.
This may help you feel more positive and motivated while training.
Rhodiola Rosea
One of the better options out there for focus and mood.
Rhodiola Rosea has been seen to reduce fatigue and help fight anxiety and depression.
It’s a good addition here for staying motivated while training.
Caffeine
Arguably the best natural stimulant out there.
Caffeine has been seen to help energy and power output – but that’s not all, it may also help fat loss by its ability to boost metabolism.
DMAE
Not a great choice.
Thought to prevent cognitive decline, DMAE has unfortunately been seen to have little to no effect.
Not only that, aside from having no benefits, this nutrient has even been seen to cause side effects.
You can find out more about the dangers of this ingredient in the next section.
Phosphatidylserine
One of the better choices for brain boosting.
Phosphatidylserine has been linked to improving memory, focus, mood and even helping to prevent cognitive decline.
It should allow you to concentrate more while training.
Huperzine A
Not a good choice.
An unreliable cognitive booster. It may or may not improve your focus.
Not only that, you can build up a tolerance to it easily. This means it has to be cycled, meaning you can’t use it too often to get the same benefits.
It’s just not a good option.
Ingredients Rundown:
On the whole this isn’t the best nutrient profile out there.
Not only are there side effects with Pretty Fit Pre, many of the nutrients used are under-dosed.
Talking mainly about the Citrulline here, as that’s a real business ingredient.
The side effects and bad choices like Huperzine A are an issue too.
It’s just not that great.
Side Effects
There are 2 ingredients you should be concerned about, the beta alanine and the DMAE.
Beta Alanine isn’t too harmful – it causes paresthesia, an itching that you’ll feel in your hands and face.
It’s not dangerous – but it’s very annoying.
DMAE on the other hand is dangerous, although largely unresearched to see just how dangerous it is – DMAE has been seen to cause birth defects in expecting mothers.
We’d avoid it at all costs.
