Review Overview – What does Revolution Nutrition TNT do?
TNT has been claimed to:
- Explosive Energy
- Intense Focus
But does it really?
We’ve been looking closely at the science behind TNT and how it works. There were a lot of mixed results, for both good and bad. Take a look at what we’ve found.
Can I double scoop it?
Due to caffeine content in this product we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you don’t double scoop. Revolution Nutrition also have the same advice.
What about the ingredients in TNT?
Okay, but it’s not all great.
The main problem with TNT is that it’s under-dosed in some areas, and massively over-dosed in others, specifically the caffeine. This gives you the illusion of having the full pre-workout experience, where actually you’re just being wired up on on a large amount of stimulant.
Take a look at what we’ve found:
The Beta-Alanine is a bit under-dosed but it should have some effect…
Used to buffer the acid in your muscles, Beta Alanine helps increase overall muscle endurance and allows you to go that extra mile.
That said, there’s only 1,500mg in this product, and studies have shown the best results come from 2000mg and up, so you may not get the most amount of benefit.
But the Citrulline is a little too far under…
Unlike the Arginine, the Citrulline in this blend is way too under-dosed for any noticeable benefit.
Working in the body but helping produce more nitric oxide, this nutrient gives your body a serious blood vessel dilation and an even bigger pump.
As is the Creatine…
Creatine is great for increasing water retention in your muscles and improving your overall muscle size and strength.
However, 1g is when things start to make a difference, 750mg may just be a bit too low.
And the Arginine doesn’t help…
Thought to work in the same ways as Citrulline, and it does (citrulline is actually converted into arginine by the liver), but your body struggles to absorb agrinine from standard supplemetation.
The Caffeine is way over the top at 300mg…
This is where we really draw the line. 300mg is a crazy amount of caffeine to take in one serving, and could lead to potential side effects.
If you really want to go through with, make sure you brace yourself.
The L-Lysine may help protect your gains…
Can help prevent the breakdown of muscle building proteins in the body. A good one to have on side during training.
The Higenamine may help burn fat…
There’s a lot of speculation over how much higenamine you need to burn fat, and how effect i
Hordenine is in the same boat, but there may be a problem…
Working similar to higenamine this is a fat burner with some energy boosting benefits. However it may be a bit overkill with the caffeine.
It’s also worth noting that this nutrient has been flagged up on numerous drug tests as a false positive for opiates. So be careful if you compete.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
Overall this is a pretty under-dosed pre-workout with an insane amount of caffeine to fill in the blanks.
The main ingredients like the Beta-Alanine, Citrulline and Creatine are all missing necessary amounts to really make this product shine. And the caffeine goes in the opposite direction and may put you over the edge.
Be careful with this product and under no circumstances double scoop it.

Are there any side effects?
Potentially with that caffeine.
Most Pre-Workouts hover around the 100 – 200mg range for caffeine, and this product goes 100mg higher than that.

Revolution Nutrition TNT Review Conclusion
On the whole this is a pretty imbalanced pre-workout. One of the main problems with TNT is the over-use of caffeine, and the under-dosing of the other nutrients.
The caffeine is far too excessive and can lead to side effects, especially if you’re not used to it.
And you’re not going to feel a lot from the other ingredients due to their dosage.
We also suggest to be careful with the Hordenine as that can show us as a false positive on drug tests.
