Review Overview – What does Force Factor’s BRX do?
BRX is a Pre-Workout that comes to us from Force Factor that is claimed to:
- Build Muscle
- Boost Energy
- Increase Endurance
But how well does it do this?
We’ve taken a look at the pure science behind Force Factor’s product and put it to the test to see if it’s really worth the investment.
And what we found was a rather disappointing.
Here’s what we found:
Can I double scoop it?
Yes. But maybe try 1 and half scoops first.
Even Force Factor says it’s okay to do so. We’ve looked at the caffeine content, it’s pretty high in two scoops (200mg) but you should be okay if you work up to it.
What about the ingredients in BRX?
Okay, but there are some issues.
Although there are some good choices in BRX, the main issue is that the main components are all part of a proprietary blend.
This is a combination of ingredients all under one dosage, which stops you from seeing the actual amount of each individual ingredient, which gives the manufacturer a chance to under-dose it.
However, Force Factor have managed to go one step further and not even listed how much each proprietary blend is valued at. Which is suspicious.
Here are the main ingredients:
The Vitamin B12 could help with energy…
Promoting overall health, energy and metabolism. B12 is good for a minor spike of extra energy during a gym session.
The Creatine’s the big hitter for power…
As long as it’s dosed correctly, creatine is great for power output. By maximizing water retention in your muscles, creatine helps increase explosive power, and overall muscle size.
The Beta Alanine will help with endurance…
Although quite a high dose is required (around 2000mg), Beta Alanine helps buffer the aid in your muscles and increases your overall endurance during a workout.
N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine helps with energy, but is there enough?
Again, another nutrient that needs a lot of dosing, L-Carnitine requires anywhere from 500 – 2500mg to get the full effects which include increased energy, blood flow and metabolism.
The Tyrosine can help with focus…
An anti-stress amino acid, that can help focus you if you’re starting to be hit too hard from the caffeine.
And the Vinpocetine, Choline and Huperzine continue this trend…
More of the nootropic side, but these nutrients are geared more to memory enhancing rather cognition. They won’t make that much difference to your workout.
And finally the caffeine dose is perfect if you’re looking to double scoop…
100g of caffeine is the perfect amount for just the right buzz. Caffeine boosts energy and overall power output.
And plus with this dose being on the lower side of the scale it’ll be safe to double scoop.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
Overall you need to really think about this pre-workout before you make any decisions.
Yes, it has a lot of good ingredients in here, but if they’re massively under-dosed – it won’t do much good.
The only thing that we know for sure will work for you in this blend is the caffeine and the B12, and that’s not saying much. You need a lot more for a good pre-workout experience.

Force Factor BRX Review Conclusion
On the whole it’s pretty obvious that the main problem with BRX is the proprietary blends.
Although there have been a lot of good choices with the nutrient profile, with a lot of the ingredients being backed by studies – they are only effective when dosed at high levels and as this product doesn’t disclose the amounts, it’s hard to assume that we’re getting that much.
You’ll feel a kick from the caffeine though, especially if you double scoop it – but you could get the same effect from a lot of coffee.
