Review Overview – What does MAN Pump Powder Review do?

man-pump-powder-reviewPump Powder is one of the newer pre-workouts from MAN nutrition which claims to promote “Gains n’ veins”.

It’s claimed to:

  • Be a stimulant-free pre-workout
  • Increase power output
  • Enhance pump

But how well does it do this?

And what’s in it, that allows it to claim this?

We’ve looked carefully at the ingredients and the science behind Pump Powder and have been pretty disappointed with the results.

Take a look:

Can I double scoop it?

Absolutely.

We’ve looked into the ingredient profile in MAN’s Pump Powder, and there won’t be a problem if you decide to have ‘double the fun’.

How are the ingredients in Pump Powder?

Not great.

On the one hand, MAN’s pre-workout is great because it doesn’t contain any proprietary blends. This means we know exactly what we’re getting with each ingredient and how much of it. Unlike some brands that cover it up.

On the other hand however, the ingredients are pretty slim pickings.

Here’s what we found:pump-powder-supplement-facts

The 20,000% of your standard B12 may sound impressive, but it’s not going to do that much.

B12 is great for energy and boosting metabolism levels – however there’s only so much your body can use at a time.

This isn’t going to hype you up, it’ll give you a light energy boost and nothing the more, the rest of it your body will give a hard pass.

And the Agmatine is sketchy…

Thought to help with cognition and focus – however, there’s not a lot of evidence to back this up – as in there are no studies that cover this.

On top of that, Agmatine is taken from L-Arginine, which is an amino acid that our body struggles to absorb when taken orally. It’s very unlikely for this nutrient to have any effect other than a placebo-based one.

The Glycerol Monostearate isn’t going to help either…

In no way does this help with energy, power output or pump. This is a nutrient that is there purely to make it easier to consumer – it’s a sweetener, and also helps to thicken up the blend when mixed with water.

It’s not going to help your gains, and it definitely won’t give you that almighty pump.

The Citrulline Malate is definitely the best on this list…

We love Citrulline Malate – it’s incredible for pumps (when taking the correct amount!)

As we’ve covered, L-Arginine isn’t absorbed well when consumed orally – this is why CM is so good. It gets converted in the liver into L-Arginine, which boosts nitric oxide levels. This dilates the blood vessels and gives you a wicked pump.

However, the catch being here is that you have to have at least 5.5g to really reap the benefits – Pump Powder is definitely a double scooper.

Ingredients Bottom Line:

Overall this is nothing more than Citrulline Malate and vitamin B12. Quite honestly you’d be better off buying these ingredients individually, the rest aren’t going to do that much for your workout.

MAN Pump Powder Review Conclusion

Overall this is a pretty poor pre-workout when it comes to getting that energy that helps you explode during a gym session. The best this supplement can do is give you a pump – and that’s only if you double scoop it.

Here’s what we know:

  • Ineffective Ingredients – The only nutrients we should be concerned with here are the Citrulline and the B12, the rest don’t do much
  • Poor Servings – Need to double scoop to get the full effects
  • No Energy Boost – Missing lots of key nutrients here for that full pre-workout effect
